Karelia Venture Investment Fund invites young technology companies to a competition

Participation in the competition is an opportunity for young technology companies and teams to receive a grant to develop their projects. Support is intended for those who are at the initial stage of project organization and are ready to test their scientific and technical ideas in practice.

- Young technology companies are the driver of the economy and industry: they develop domestic products that are in demand by market leaders and the state. They are supported by the Government at every stage of development, and the Start-1 competition is one of the first steps for such companies. In 2025, the grant for launching a company is up to 5 million rubles. If the applicant company is listed in the MTC register, it is automatically awarded 1 point at the examination stage , - noted Maxim Kolesnikov, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia.

Applications are accepted until June 16, 2025. The grant amount is up to 5 million rubles. The project implementation period is 12 months.

Applications can be submitted by:

- small businesses registered no more than two years ago and that have not previously received funding from the Fund; - individuals who are ready to create a legal entity in the event of victory.

The competition covers six areas: digital technologies; medicine and health-preserving technologies; new materials and chemical technologies; instrument making and intelligent manufacturing technologies; biotechnology; resource-saving energy.

Projects should be focused on conducting applied research and creating experimental developments in order to minimize scientific and technical risks and prepare the product for launch on the market.
