PERM, August 8 - RIA Novosti. A court in Perm has sentenced a Chinese citizen and an employee of a non-profit organization to two years in a general regime penal colony for organizing the illegal migration of foreigners in Russia, the regional FSB department reports. According to the agency, from 2023 to 2024, an employee of an autonomous non-profit organization and a Chinese citizen organized the illegal stay of foreigners by issuing fictitious certificates of proficiency in Russian, on the basis of which they were illegally issued permits for legal stay in Russia. "A case has been opened against the suspects under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of illegal entry of foreigners). They have been sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 2 years in a general regime penal colony," the report says. The employee of the non-profit organization was additionally fined 200 thousand rubles. The case was heard by the Leninsky District Court of Perm.
