Analysts also found that a quarter more travelers visited Nizhny Novgorod and Rostov-on-Don this May. "However, the demand for trips to Yekaterinburg and Kazan has decreased by 22% and 13%, respectively," the service emphasized, adding that the average cost of a hotel room booked by travelers on the holiday weekend was 8,500 rubles per day, which is 13% more than in early May 2024. Of the foreign destinations, most travelers went to Istanbul in early May: the Turkish metropolis accounts for 7.8% of bookings, the study says. Next come Dubai and Minsk, where 5.9% and 4.6% of tourists vacation, respectively. Compared to last year's holidays, Istanbul and Minsk have become less popular (by 20% and 17%), but interest in vacationing in Dubai has grown by 25%, according to the report. "In addition, Yerevan (share - 3.2%), Tbilisi (2.9%), Paris (2.1%), Tashkent (1.9%), Rome (1.7%), Tokyo (1.6%) and Shanghai (1.5%) were "in the top".
