Midfielder begins transition and may be available at São Paulo this season

After seven months recovering from surgery, midfielder Hugo returned to the field. He received clearance from the medical department to begin his transition training with physical preparation on the pitch at the Barra Funda Training Center.
Hugo was one of the standout players on the Copinha championship team. However, he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee and underwent surgery a month later. Now, he's working to be an option for Hernán Crespo in the final stretch of the season.
At the time of the tournament, São Paulo 's then-coach, Luis Zubeldía, praised the player. In the Argentine's view, Hugo performed with the personality of a veteran. The midfielder even received a chance in the first team in the Campeonato Paulista debut against Botafogo .

The player arrived at Tricolor on loan from Ska Brasil until January 31st. The club acted quickly and acquired the midfielder for R$400,000, for 80% of the player's economic rights. Hugo's contract with the club runs until January 31st, 2028.
