Footballer Diogo Jota died in an accident in Spain
The 28-year-old Liverpool player had married at the end of June. He leaves behind three young children.

Portuguese footballer Diogo Jota, 28, and his brother, 26, died in the early hours of yesterday in a traffic accident on the A52, in Cernadilla, Zamora, Spain. Diogo Jota's death comes just days after he married his long-term partner on June 22. The footballer leaves behind three young children.

Spanish authorities admit that the accident may have been caused by a “bursting tire during overtaking.” The Guardia Civil says it is investigating the incident that occurred at 00:30 Spanish time. The vehicle caught fire following the accident and both occupants died.
