EN329 reopened after accident that caused one death

National Road 329 (EN329), in Vila Nova de Paiva, district of Viseu, was reopened this morning at 2:43 am, after being closed for almost six hours in both directions as a result of a collision between two light vehicles.
The accident alert, which caused the death of a 58-year-old man and left another 47-year-old man seriously injured, was given at 9:00 pm on Thursday, having occurred near a curve, leading to the closure of the road in both directions, according to Civil Protection.
A source from the Viseu District Relief Operations Command told Lusa that the EN329 was reopened at 2:43 am.
According to the website of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, 21 operators responded to the scene, supported by seven vehicles.
