Man arrested after threatening to kill woman

A 46-year-old man will await trial in preventive detention after being arrested on Tuesday, in Valongo, when he threatened to kill a 37-year-old woman, the GNR revealed in a statement this Thursday.

Following a report of domestic violence, the military went to the scene, where they found the man threatening to kill the victim, a 37-year-old woman. During a subsequent security search of the suspect, three bladed weapons were found, which led to his arrest, the press release describes.

In the statement, the GNR does not reveal the relationship between the man and the woman or where the threats occurred.

Present at the first interrogation on Wednesday, at the Porto Judicial Court, he was given the coercive measure of preventive detention, it is also read.
