Eleven districts on the mainland and Madeira under yellow warning

Eleven districts of mainland Portugal and the Madeira archipelago are under a yellow warning this Thursday due to the forecast of hot weather, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
The districts of Viseu, Évora, Guarda, Setúbal, Santarém, Lisbon, Beja, Castelo Branco and Portalegre are under yellow warning until 6 pm this Thursday and Bragança, Vila Real until 6 pm on Friday.
The IPMA also issued a yellow warning for the Madeira archipelago until 6:00 pm on Friday due to persistently high maximum temperatures.
The IPMA forecasts for this Thursday on the mainland that the sky will be generally partly cloudy, with a temporary increase in cloudiness, light winds and fog or mist in some areas along the coastal strip.
Minimum temperatures will range between 11 degrees Celsius (in Viana do Castelo and Braga) and 24 (in Portalegre) and maximum temperatures between 22 (in Aveiro) and 38 (in Évora).
For the Madeira archipelago, the forecast predicts a generally partly cloudy sky, light to moderate winds from the east and a slight rise in temperature in the highlands.
In Funchal, temperatures will vary between 21 and 29 degrees Celsius and in Porto Santo between 20 and 26 degrees.
