It will be next Friday, June 27, that Netflix will release the third and final season of 'Squid Game' - a South Korean series that premiered on the service in September 2021 and which, since then, has become one of the streaming service's biggest hits.
The third season will follow on from the (shocking) events of the second season, which was released late last year. In the final episode, protagonist Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) saw his ambitions to sabotage the game dashed and his greatest ally, Jung-bae, killed.
In addition to an ending to this story, 'Squid Game' will give fans of the series the opportunity to see new tests based on children's games and, judging by the images and trailers that have been revealed in the meantime, a lot of tension is promised for these last episodes.
As for the number of episodes, it is already known that this third season of 'Squid Game' will have a total of six episodes - less than the seven of the second season and even less than the nine of the first season.
