Alexandra Leitão reaches an agreement with Livre, Bloco and PAN for her candidacy for Lisbon

Socialist Alexandra Leitão's candidacy for Lisbon City Council will have the support of Livre, Bloco de Esquerda and PAN.

According to Expresso, the left-wing agreement was reached last Saturday and the new coalition should be formally presented on Friday.

The communists are left out, as they will maintain João Ferreira's candidacy for the capital's mayor.

The same newspaper reports that the agreement between the parties foresees that the first four places and the ninth will go to the PS, leaving the fifth and seventh to the Livre party, the sixth to the Bloco de Esquerda party and the eighth to the PAN party.

The candidacy for the Municipal Assembly will also be led by a candidate nominated by the PS.
