While I was sleeping…

…the bodies of Diogo Jota and André Silva arrived in Gondomar. The wake begins today, at 4pm , and the funeral will be on Saturday. The two brothers died yesterday, in a car accident in Spain . André Silva had just graduated in Management and played in the Second Division. Diogo Jota, the “humble, resilient, loyal, lovable” young man who set an example for everyone , played for Liverpool and the national team and had just married the mother of his three children .

The news of his death shocked the football world — the world itself: hundreds of English fans rushed to pay tribute to the “lad from Portugal” at the Liverpool and Wolves stadiums; football and sports figures remembered “the athlete respected by all” who had “a contagious joy”; and the accident was featured in the main international newspapers .
