Sebrae and Instituto Amazônia+21 announce partnership to support sustainable small businesses in the Amazon.

Sebrae announced, this Monday (10), the launch of a partnership with the Instituto Amazônia+21 which aims to attract investments and promote sustainable businesses in the Amazon region. The announcement was made at the stand of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), in the Blue Zone of COP30, in Belém (PA).
Created by the Amazon+21 Institute, an Investment Facility will connect Amazonian entrepreneurs with national and international investors interested in socio-environmental impact businesses. The Facility seeks to mobilize private capital for sustainable initiatives, expanding access to credit and strengthening the bioeconomy, innovation, and regional industrialization.
The partnership strengthens the integration between Sebrae, CNI, and state industry federations in promoting a development model that combines environmental conservation and income generation.
In announcing the project, the technical director of Sebrae Nacional, Bruno Quick, highlighted that the initiative is aligned with the institution's strategy of expanding support for small industrial businesses and innovative startups.
“Sebrae is convinced that we need to be increasingly closer to the industrial ecosystem, together with the National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI), the Social Service of Industry (SESI), and the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL), to support small Brazilian industries. In the Amazon, where more than 90% of the forest is considered unproductive, it is essential to find ways to create local value. And this is done through industrialization. The partnership with the Amazon+21 Institute will also allow startups in the region to access investment and training to transform good ideas into sustainable businesses,” he explained.
Present at the announcement, the president of CNI, Ricardo Alban, reinforced the role of the Facility as an instrument of governance and transparency capable of transforming potential into real development.
“Nothing is achieved with ideas alone, but also with actions that generate results. The Facility represents a transparent structure with solid governance that will allow us to transform potential into real development,” he said.
According to Marcelo Thomé, president of the Amazon+21 Institute and the Federation of Industries of the State of Rondônia (FIERO), the support from Sebrae expands a collaboration that has been consolidating since 2022.
“In 2022, we began this journey with Sebrae, and now Sebrae Nacional is expanding the scope of this work. Through the Investment Facility, it will be possible to support small businesses in the Amazon, strengthening the industrialization of local products,” he stated.
