Parliamentary front defending the interests of small businesses changes leadership

After two years, the Joint Parliamentary Front of Micro and Small Enterprises (FPMPE) will have a new president. This Tuesday (26), in Brasília, the handover of the presidency of the collegiate will take place: Federal Deputy Augusto Coutinho (Republicans/PE) will hand over the position to Federal Deputy Jorge Goetten (Republicans/SC). With the support of Sebrae, the Parliamentary Front works to defend the rights of small businesses in the country, which represent 94% of companies.

"This year alone, we've already surpassed the 3.1 million mark for businesses opened by the sector, not to mention that approximately 60% of the jobs created are in micro and small businesses. Therefore, it's important that we work together on proposals that make the business environment less bureaucratic and more conducive to job and income generation," says Sebrae president Décio Lima.
“We need to create public policies that support these entrepreneurs and encourage innovation, inclusion, and sustainability.”

With over 180 members, the FPMPE (Federal Labor Court) is a forum for political debate in the National Congress. In the current legislature, it worked alongside Sebrae (Brazilian State Electricity Regulatory Agency) on issues such as tax reform and its regulation, defense of the Simples Nacional (Simples Nacional), labor regulations and their application to individual microentrepreneurs (MEI), and granting of credit and financing through the Acredita Program, among other initiatives.
