White Night in Albufeira celebrates the 80s at Olhos de Água Beach

Praia dos Olhos de Água is the chosen location to host Noite Branca in Albufeira, on Saturday, July 5th, with a party dedicated to celebrating the 1980s.

To this end, several moments of entertainment are planned, starting at the end of the afternoon, at 7:00 pm, with the event lasting until 00:30.

As in several other European cities, the White Night will be marked by the use of white clothing.

This is an initiative organized by Albufeira City Council , which has the support of the Parents Association of the Kindergarten and Primary School of Olhos de Água.

In addition to the musical performances, the space will host a crafts exhibition and will also feature moments of street entertainment.

The highlight of the evening promises to be a performance by Sofia Moreira Trio. The artist from the Algarve has stood out in the contemporary jazz scene, and has a training career that includes a stint at the Hot Clube de Portugal.

Her Brazilian roots allow her to approach the genre in a distinct way, in an exploration with a very personal touch. She will be accompanied on stage by Léo Vrillaud on piano and Izaque Santos on double bass, in a performance scheduled to begin at 8:30 pm.

The musical entertainment continues with a performance by DJ Alex Morais. The Lisbon artist will bring his rhythms to the stage and promises to liven up the rest of the party with songs from the 1980s. He will take to the stage at 9:30 pm.

The White Night programme in Albufeira also includes a zumba demonstration, starting at 7:30 pm, by Rita Arroja. This will be followed by a tribute concert to the American artist Billie Eilish, by Mafidi, starting at 8:15 pm.

The lineup ends with an acrobatic show by Jéssica Barreto, scheduled to start at 10 pm.

The White Night will take place at Praia dos Olhos de Água on July 5th. The party starts at 7:00 pm and goes on until midnight. Entry is free.
