Vagos Metal Fest closes the lineup for this year's edition

Vagos Metal Fest 2025 is officially closed. The festival organizers are lifting the veil on the last wave of confirmations, crowning this edition with a return that many have been waiting for for years: the North American band POD, who will take to the stage at Quinta do Ega for the first time, in an unprecedented and unmissable concert. With a career spanning more than three decades, POD (Payable On Death) have become one of the most iconic names in the fusion of alternative metal, rap rock and nu-metal. Originally from San Diego, California, the band conquered the world with anthems such as “Youth of the Nation”, “Alive”, “Boom” and “Satellite”, selling more than 12 million albums and marking a generation. Known for their energetic performances and messages of resistance and faith, POD promise to shake up the Vagos stage on their return to Portugal after more than two decades. The Swedish band Candlemass, celebrating 40 years of their career, promise a very special show: “40 Years of Doom”, celebrating four decades as masters of “epic doom metal”. With classics such as “Solitude” and “Mirror Mirror”, the band promises an intense and history-filled performance. Confirming the diversity of the lineup, the Italian band Rhapsody of Fire will also join them, with their symphonic and cinematic “power metal”; the Irish band Gama Bomb, bringing fast-paced and humorous “thrash”; the Spanish band Angelus Apatrida, with their technical and cutting “thrash”; and the French band Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition, who will add their “grind/brutal death” approach to the lineup.
