Open House: Lisbon with its doors open

It's a feast for architecture lovers, voyeurs or simply curious people who want to get to know the city better. During the upcoming weekend, the Open House Lisboa initiative, promoted by the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, opens the doors of 72 spaces for free visits or guided tours by experts.
The list is long, so we will only give you a sample that brings together old acquaintances and unexpected places: the Thalia Theatre, the emblematic project by Diogo Seixas Lopes; the Torre do Tombo, where the treasures of national memory are kept; the Barbadinhos Steam Pumping Station, with its remarkable industrial heritage; the Santo Amaro Chapel, which once served as a coal depot; the Matinha Gasometers; the exquisite Palácio do Grilo, built after the earthquake by the Duke of Lafões; the Supreme Court of Justice, in Praça do Comércio; the Carmo Barracks.
There are also private apartments to explore. But be careful: several activities (Casa da Moeda, RTP headquarters, Hotel Ritz) are already at full capacity, so it is best to check the triennale website: www.trienaldelisboa.com/ohl/espacos/.
