Mattarella visits ANSA exhibition on Falcone and Borsellino.
The President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, visited this Tuesday (11), at the United Nations Center in Vienna, the photographic exhibition dedicated to judges Paolo Borsellino and Giovanni Falcone, both assassinated in attacks by the Cosa Nostra mafia in 1992.
The exhibition brings together personal photographs donated by the families of the judges, as well as images from the ANSA archive.
Accompanied by the President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, Mattarella toured the various panels installed at the entrance of the building. The CEO of ANSA, Stefano De Alessandri, was responsible for presenting and explaining the content to the two heads of state.
Among the many historical photographs, one stands out in which Mattarella appears alongside Falcone. "I had the privilege of knowing them and spending a lot of time with them," the president declared shortly afterwards, during his speech in the chamber.
