Faro Film Club is preparing another open-air cinema party

In 2025, the event, which has become a cultural reference in the Algarve capital during the summer, will take place between July 22 and August 29, offering a selection of 13 live-action feature films accompanied by 12 Portuguese animated shorts or those co-produced in Portugal, a program that promises nights filled with dreams, suspense and adventure.
Sessions start at 9:45 pm.
In the heart of Faro's historic city center, this event features a total of 26 films, including both feature-length and short films. The program was designed to establish a dialogue between short films by young Portuguese directors and feature-length films from diverse backgrounds and genres, bringing together some of the most exciting films released in Portugal this year.
These sessions are free for members of the Faro Film Club with their 2025 dues paid, €4 for students and members with outstanding dues, and €5 for the general public.
The Open Air Cinema Festival is supported by ICA – Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual, the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR), Faro City Council, Faro Municipal Museum, the Algarve Regional Directorate of the IPDJ and the Europa Cinemas network.
