Palmeiras secures million-dollar prize after qualifying for the World Cup

After the 2-2 draw with Inter Miami, this Monday (23), which guaranteed advancement to the round of 16 of the Club World Cup as leader of group A, Palmeiras added another millionaire amount in prizes.

With the draw on Monday (22), Verdão raised another 1 million dollars (around R$ 5.6 million). This is the amount according to FIFA's bonus card, in case of a draw in the group stage.

In the victory against Al Ahly, the club added another 2 million dollars (around R$ 11.1 million) to the coffers. The draw in the debut against Porto yielded more than 1 million dollars for Palmeiras.

Qualifying for the round of 16 guaranteed Verdão a profit of 4 million dollars (R$22.4 million) in prizes.

Palmeiras also received R$16.21 million dollars (R$90 million) for participating in the Club World Cup.

After drawing with Inter Miami, Verdão took the lead in group A. Lionel Messi's team also qualified, but in second place and will face PSG.

With first place secured, Verdão faces Botafogo in the round of 16. The Rio de Janeiro team finished second in group B, after being defeated by Atlético de Madrid .
