Regarding the news item entitled “TV promoter promises luxury real estate deal”, published in the paper and online editions of the newspaper Correio da Manhã on August 9, 2025, I hereby, in the exercise of the right of reply, enshrined in articles 24 and 25 of the Press Law (Law no. 2/99, of January 13) and, further, under article 37, paragraph 4, of the Constitution, clarify the following:

What is contained in the highlighted excerpt, with the signatory's photo, titled "PROMOTION RITA PRESENTS" and the wording: "The Municipal Council is aware that the Conta Lá project was presented to the Almada City Council by Councilor José Pedro Ribeiro (PS), responsible for infrastructure and municipal works. The document, allegedly delivered by Rita Ferro Rodrigues to the councilor who was president of the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (2005-2013), is absolutely false with regard to the current signatory, as she never submitted any documents, does not personally know the councilor in question, and has never met him.

In this specific case, we are not only faced with a lack of journalistic rigor, but also with a completely false statement, not confirmed by the author of the news and without any basis, since the subscriber did not participate, nor had any intervention, in the delivery of any documents and is unaware of the facts contained in the news in question.

The highlighting of the news in question, as it was a text with false content, naturally caused disturbance to the subscriber, as he saw his name involved, in a misleading way, in a news item (relating to the alleged delivery of any documents) whose details he is completely unaware of, and which could also allow for a reading that is detrimental to his reputation and good name.

The subscriber further clarifies that, although she was contacted by telephone yesterday by the newspaper Correio da Manhã, she was not questioned regarding the alleged delivery of any documents (as stated in the highlight in relation to which the right of reply is now being exercised), and therefore she did not even have the opportunity to deny her involvement in any act that was included in such news.
