Fireworks for the end of bridge cuts criticized

The end of night-time road traffic cuts on the Edgar Cardoso bridge was celebrated by the municipality of Figueira da Foz on the evening of May 7th, the day on which the cuts ceased to be in force. The city government, led by president Pedro Santana Lopes, announced that the municipal executive would launch fireworks to end nighttime road closures on that main road in the city. The decision was applauded, but also heavily criticized on social media.
