Fire in Alvão was resolved in the early hours of the morning
The fire started around midnight on Saturday (2nd), in Sirarelhos, entered the resolution phase on Wednesday, was concluded and then was reactivated last Saturday night, at 9 pm.
On Sunday afternoon, flames descended from the Alvão mountain range and put the villages of Muas, Relva, Borbela, Agarez and even the town of Lordelo at risk.
Given the scale of the fire, the mayor of Vila Real, Alexandre Favaios, requested an increase in the resources available to fight it.
According to ANEPC, the fire entered the resolution phase at 4:24 am and by 8:30 am more than 300 operators were still mobilized for this incident.
It is estimated that the total burnt area is already four thousand hectares.
