Faro: Flow Productions launches educational video game about water management for children

The creative studio Flow Productions , associated with Algarve Evolution and based at the Technological Accelerator UAlg Tec Campus, will present ECORIS , an educational video game that combines technology, fun and sustainability, on July 7th, at UAlg Tec Campus, Penha Campus of the University of Algarve ( UAlg ), at 10:30 am.

The launch event will showcase the project's development path, as well as the first results obtained with children in the classroom.

ECORIS is a video game aimed at children between the ages of eight and 12, focused on the efficient management of water, one of the most valuable resources on the planet.

With the support of funding from the Recovery and Resilience Plan ( RRP ), the project was developed with the aim of promoting sustainable habits from an early age, in an appealing format for both schools and families.

At the center of the narrative is Oris, a friendly plumbing beaver who invites players to solve practical challenges related to the use and conservation of water.

The intuitive design and accessible language allow for fun and effective learning, reinforced by activities that can be carried out both in a school and family environment.

“ECORIS represents our commitment to using the power of interactive experiences as an educational tool. We want to create a more conscious generation, empowered to act responsibly towards the planet’s resources, starting with water,” says Ricardo Pedro, CEO and founder of Flow Productions.

“We believe that interactive technology can go beyond entertainment: it can educate, raise awareness and inspire change. Ecoris is our first step in this direction, focusing on raising awareness among a younger audience about the importance of saving water,” adds Francisco Simões, videogame developer at ECORIS.

During the event, it will be possible to learn about the vision and mission of the ECORIS project; the development phases and main technical decisions; a live demonstration of the game in action; the pedagogical objectives underlying its creation; the results obtained in tests carried out with children, which validate its educational impact; and the potential applications of Ecoris as a tool to support teaching and environmental education.

ECORIS will soon be available on several digital platforms, and is also targeted for implementation in schools and educational programs.

Flow Productions «invites educators, public institutions, the media and the general public to learn about this innovative project, which combines video games and environmental citizenship».

Entry is free, subject to prior registration, which can be done by filling out the form, available here .
