Canadair aircraft in Portugal are out of service

According to a source from the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC) to the Lusa news agency, the three heavy forest fire-fighting aircraft that Portugal has are out of service.
The two Canadair aircraft assigned to the Special Rural Firefighting Device (DECIR) have become inoperable, the same source said. A third aircraft is available to replace the other two in case of any damage, but it is also out of service.
