Businesspeople discuss Europe's role in the Portuguese business sector

On September 18th, the Business Growth Platform (PCE) brought together dozens of entrepreneurs from various regions of the country for a meeting dedicated to reflecting on the European Union's role in supporting the national business community. The event took place at the Silva Sunset space in Baltar, Paredes, and featured the participation of Social Democratic MEP Paulo Cunha (left in the image), who presented "an overview of the tools that entrepreneurs can benefit from in the European space."

The initiative sought to highlight the importance of proximity between European institutions and economic agents, emphasizing that "European institutions have adapted to be closer to these economic agents who create value for the region."

According to João Montenegro, one of the organizers, PCE is "a strategic collaboration network that brings together entrepreneurs, companies, and business associations, fostering synergies with a view to expanding into new markets, strategic partnerships, and consolidating national and international business growth."

João Montenegro adds that "the PCE brings a new reality to Portuguese entrepreneurs, with a national and global vision, grounded in a network of connectivity that operates based on corporate solidarity." For him, meetings like this are privileged spaces for sharing and appreciation: "participants bring together their business experience, share knowledge, share valuable market information, and socialize."

PCE sees itself as a project that puts entrepreneurs at the center of its action: "Here, companies are welcomed, and entrepreneurs are put first. This is their home, the home of entrepreneurs, of those who believe in achieving goals, of those who are on the front lines creating value in society," emphasized João Montenegro.

This meeting in Baltar continues a series of events hosted by the platform over the past few months. In July, a meeting took place at Casa do Ledo in Penafiel, attended by the Minister of Agriculture and the Sea, José Manuel Fernandes, who participated in a wine lunch with 50 businesspeople from the North region.

More recently, on August 19, the PCE also organized a networking event at the Lisbon venue Lust in Rio, attended by the Secretary of State for Culture, Alberto Santos, bringing together 130 businesspeople from various regions of the country.
