Tomasz Fornal revealed his plans for the future. "This information is just for you"

On social media, specifically on Instagram, a special recording from the receiver appeared. The volleyball player, who is one of the biggest stars of the PlusLiga in recent years, will play his farewell matches in the colors of the club from Jastrzębie-Zdrój during the Final Four of the Champions League.

– Yes, yes. Six shirts, six seasons. Damn, well... (laughter). I'm not good at such statements. But I have to inform you before the last one, at least I feel the need to. So that you, as fans of me and the club, know that this Champions League will be the last one I play in Jastrzębski Węgiel. A certain story will end after this tournament, I think there will be time for summaries. But this information is only for you. Keep your fingers crossed for us in the last match. I, as well as the whole team, will do everything to end it like in a beautiful fairy tale, a beautiful movie. And for us all to be happy about winning the Champions League. So that's it. We'll sum it up later. That's all for now. I'm not good at such statements, but I just say what I feel. And I think you all have to know that these last days... they are the last ones and that's it (laughter). The FF Champions League tournament will take place on May 16-18 at the Atlas Arena in Łódź. The Jastrzębie team will face Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie in the semi-final on Saturday (17.05).

It is worth recalling that in the last two seasons the club from Jastrzębie-Zdrój played in the Champions League finals. However, the Jastrzębie team, with Fornal in the line-up, lost the decisive fight for the title of the best club team in Europe twice. In 2023, after a match full of great emotions in Turin, JSW Jastrzębski lost 2:3 to ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle.

It was worse last season. Jastrzębie clearly lost (0:3) to Italian Itas Trentino. Turkish Antalya did not turn out to be lucky for the then Polish champions.

Who knows, maybe it will be different this time, especially since Fornal only has the Champions League gold left to complete his impressive collection of titles – won in the colours of the club from Jastrzębie-Zdrój. The volleyball player from Kraków came to Silesia in 2019. During this time, he won, among others, the Polish championship three times (2021, 2023, 2024), the Polish Cup (2025) and the Super Cup (2021, 2022).

It will therefore be very sentimental in Łódź. Apart from Fornal, libero Jakub Popiwczak and center Norbert Huber are also set to say goodbye to the club from Jastrzębie-Zdrój after the season. JSW Jastrzębski in the 2025/26 season will be a completely new story.
