Twelve teams will compete in the upcoming season of the Orlen Basket Liga Kobiet. Among the teams that played at the highest level last season, the Polkowice team will be absent, having experienced significant organizational and financial problems in recent months. Among the teams licensed to play in the OBLK is, of course, Polski Cukier AZS UMCS Lublin.

The new teams in the Orlen Basket League are Contimax MOSiR Bochnia, Isands Wichoś Jelenia Góra, and Wisła Kraków. The competition will be played in two stages. First, there will be a 22-round league phase. Afterward, the top eight teams will advance to the playoffs. The season will begin on August 4th at the earliest and end on April 29th at the latest.
