Central Dalmatia was promoting itself in Warsaw. "Come and join us for a Marenda"
The Tourist Board of the Split-Dalmatia County presented the richness of Dalmatia's tourist and gastronomic offer in Warsaw, emphasizing the importance of their daily early lunch meals, called marenda, in the Dalmatian lifestyle.
As Director Vladović explained, marenda is a daily gathering at the table—regardless of how formal or simple the meal—with family, friends, or simply acquaintances. A break during the day, used to enjoy each other's company.
Therefore, the "Dalmatian Marenda" project, initiated by the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board in 2023, encourages shared feasting. It promotes certified restaurants that prepare dishes according to regional traditions and producers of traditional products. Marenda contributes to the preservation of culinary heritage and supports the sustainable development of tourism in the region.
The "Dalmatinska marenda" project is part of a broader strategy of the Tourist Board of the Split-Dalmatia County, the aim of which is to develop gastronomic tourism and strengthen the position of a region with a rich culinary culture.

It is no wonder that, in this situation, the event included a culinary show, presenting authentic Dalmatian specialties prepared under the guidance of the renowned chef Željko Neven Bremec, president of the Association of Chefs of the Mediterranean and European Regions.
The musical accompaniment of the event was provided by singer Katica Marinović, who performed traditional Dalmatian songs.
