On November 11th, medical assistance is available 24/7 at the nearest night and holiday healthcare facility. Appointments are not required, and referrals are not required. Assistance is free if you have health insurance.
Night and holiday healthcare operates on similar principles to primary healthcare.
The on-duty physician at the Night and Holiday Healthcare facility will provide advice on an outpatient basis and by telephone. In medically necessary cases, this can also be done at the patient's home. Nurses can be provided at the clinic or through a home visit.
The patient will benefit from the help of a doctor and nurse in the event of:
- sudden illness,
- sudden deterioration of health - when there are no symptoms suggesting an immediate threat to life,
- significant damage to health when home remedies or over-the-counter medications have not brought the expected improvement,
- when there is a fear that waiting for the opening of a primary care clinic may significantly adversely affect his health ,
- in the event of exacerbation of symptoms of a chronic disease,
- respiratory infections with high fever,
- abdominal pain that does not subside despite the use of antispasmodic drugs,
- headaches that do not subside despite the use of painkillers,
- diarrhea or vomiting, especially in children or the elderly.
Night and holiday healthcare facilities are open from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM from Monday to Friday, and around the clock on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
To receive assistance, please contact any night and holiday healthcare facility closest to your place of residence or stay.
There's no need to book an appointment , and a referral is not necessary. Assistance is provided free of charge and is covered by health insurance. As part of the consultation, patients can receive a sick note and an e-prescription.
Night and holiday care facilities do not carry out follow-up visits in connection with previously started treatment, do not issue prescriptions for permanent medications in connection with chronic diseases, or health certificates.
The addresses of the facilities are available on the websites of the provincial branches of the National Health Fund.
In the event of a threat to health or life, emergency rooms and hospital emergency departments (EDs) provide assistance. They help people with serious conditions (e.g., accidents, injuries, poisoning, bleeding from the gastrointestinal or urinary tract), which can result in serious impairment of bodily functions or death. The order of admission is not determined by the order of presentation, but rather by the health status assessed by medical staff. Patients can visit these facilities without a referral, regardless of their place of residence.
Addresses and contact details for emergency departments and admission rooms are available on the websites of the provincial branches of the National Health Fund.
In the event of an immediate and sudden threat to life or health, call the emergency medical team (numbers 112 or 999).
