In April, the Monetary Policy Council once again rejected a motion to raise interest rates by 200 basis points, which was supported only by MPC member Joanna Tyrowicz, while the others present at the meeting were against it, the NBP reported. No other motions were filed.

Tyrowicz files motion for 200 bps rate hike from November 2023

In April, the Monetary Policy Council kept interest rates unchanged, including the reference rate of 5.75%.

In May, the Monetary Policy Council lowered interest rates by 50 basis points, including the reference rate to 5.25 percent. (PAP Biznes)
