Mr. Andrzej is losing more titles. King Charles strips him of this military title.

The British government, at the request of King Charles III, has taken action to strip his brother, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, of his last honorary military title: the title of Vice Admiral of the Royal Navy, Defense Minister John Healey said on Sunday in an interview with the BBC.
The King on Thursday stripped Andrew of his Duke of York title and other privileges after months of pressure over his links to American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The decision came shortly after the publication of the posthumous memoirs of Virginia Giuffre, who claimed she was forced into sexual relations with Andrew at the age of 17. The son of Queen Elizabeth II has never admitted to the allegations.
The former prince retained his title of vice admiral after resigning from other military posts in 2022 when Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit against him in a New York court.
Asked by the BBC whether Mountbatten-Windsor might also lose his military medals, the Defense Minister replied that they were "service medals" and that no decision had been made at this time. "Generally speaking, the government is guided by the King's decisions and judgments," he emphasized.
The brother of King Charles III served in the navy for more than 20 years, including as a helicopter pilot during the Falklands War in 1982. The Guardian reported that his only source of income now is a military pension, estimated at £20,000 a year.
The newspaper revealed on Friday that King Charles had approved a one-off six-figure payment to his brother and was prepared to personally cover the annual financial support, which sources said was intended to prevent the former prince from overspending in the future.
British media reported that although the loss of his royal titles was effective immediately, Andrew is unlikely to leave his current Royal Lodge residence before Christmas. He shared the home for over two decades with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. His new residence will be Sandringham House, where the Windsors traditionally hold their annual Christmas gatherings.
