Volleyball festival in Łódź. Two Polish teams will fight for victory in the Champions League

– I won't judge their form, because I worked with the second pair, but the last match with Projekt Warszawa was good in their performance. The problem with the Zawiercie team is the number of serious injuries to players from the top six: Butryn will probably be missing, and Gładyr will definitely not play. In addition, Bartosz Kwolek has a broken finger. Aaron Russell was clearly suffering, and Mateusz Bieniek looked as if he was playing on drugs. Grozer's medical transfer only helped in the PlusLiga. On the other hand, there are no limits on foreign players in the Champions League, so Luke Perry will return. Zawiercie gave it their all in the final with Lublin, but they lacked quality, and they faced a tough and healthy team. Jastrzębie probably has better grounds to think about the final – says Wojciech Drzyzga, commentator and expert for Polsat Sport, for "Rz".

Personnel revolution at Jastrzębski Węgiel

The Polish teams will face off on Saturday. On Friday, Sir Sicoma Perugia and Halkbank Ankara will play each other. In this pair, we should keep our fingers crossed for the Italian team, which features Kamil Semeniuk and Łukasz Usowicz. On the one hand, we can be happy that there will definitely be a PlusLiga representative in the final, on the other - Jastrzębie or Aluron Warta will have less time to rest than their rivals.

- If Zawiercie reaches the final, especially after a tough fight, I'm afraid they won't have enough strength on Sunday. If the semi-final wasn't going to be a good spectacle, then Jastrzębski Węgiel would be better off winning quickly on Saturday. If they ended the season with a trophy, it would be a great story for them, because the Champions League can't be called a "consolation cup" under any circumstances. The final is a bit of a last dance for some players in this club - says Drzyzga.

For the team from Jastrzębie-Zdrój, this would be the third final in a row, and after two defeats (against ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Itas Trentino), the appetite for victory has increased even more. After the end of the season, the team will undergo a personnel revolution. Norbert Huber (to Wolfdogs Nagoya), Jakub Popiwczak (to Aluron Warta) and Tomasz Fornal (Ziraat Bankasi Ankara) are leaving.

Where to watch the Men's Volleyball Champions League Final Four?

In recent years, Polish teams have regularly fought for the most valuable trophy in club volleyball. Two teams in the Final Four tournament (and Projekt Warszawa was close) confirm the very strong position of PlusLiga. It is not known, however, whether it will be the same next year. The games on the Vistula will remain very strong, but it is already visible that other leagues are also arming themselves. Once, the Russians paid the best volleyball players fabulous money, now the Japanese and Turks are joining the game.
