This is what Poles want from Tusk's government. Several postulates are key

Prime Minister Donald Tusk applied to parliament for a renewed vote of confidence on June 11. In his exposé, he spoke of the government's numerous achievements — from increasing defense spending by 67 percent, through increasing real wages by 9.7 percent, to unblocking €240 billion from the National Reconstruction Plan.

The head of government's speech included announcements for the next 2.5 years . Among them were those concerning improving security or development, as well as those concerning the reconstruction of the government and the appointment of a spokesman. The last of the announcements has already been fulfilled .

Now, UCE Research, commissioned by Onet, asked what, in the Plaks' opinion, the government should focus on first after receiving a vote of confidence.

What do Poles want from the government? This is how they answered

Among all voters — i.e. without division into declared views — the first choice with 31.1 percent was “improving access to medical specialists.” Next, with 29.2 percent, was “protecting society from rising prices.” Rounding out the podium was “reducing general inflation” with 25.1 percent.

The following also received over 15%, respectively: "limiting the 800+ allowance for foreigners", "increasing the tax-free amount", "construction of cheap meters for sale/rent", "reducing medicine prices", "liquidation of the Church Fund", "reform of the justice system", "the right to abortion".

Voters' demands vary depending on their declared views

Declarations of expectations varied depending on the views expressed. For example, voters of the Civic Coalition placed the highest value on “accelerating the settlement of PiS governments”, indicated by 34.6% of respondents. Next were “improving access to medical specialists” with 33.9% and “reform of the justice system” with 32.9%.

Left voters indicated the “right to abortion” in first place with 44.4 percent, the “liquidation of the Church Fund” in second place with 38.4 percent, and the “construction of cheap meters for sale/rent” in third place with 37.4 percent.

Among voters of the Third Way — the alliance of Poland 2050 and the Polish People's Party, which was dissolved this week — three answers tied for first place: "increasing the tax-free amount," "protecting society from rising prices," and "improving access to medical specialists." All of them received 32.6 percent.

Law and Justice supporters most often indicated “protection of society from price increases” — 37.6 percent. Next were “improving access to medical specialists” with 30.9 percent and “reducing general inflation from 27.4 percent.”

Confederation voters placed "limiting 800+ for foreigners" in first place with 39.6 percent of responses. Also high were "protecting society from rising prices" and "reducing general inflation." Both of these points won 36 percent each.
