The long-awaited expressway will cut through the center of Poland. This is a new connection to the highway.

As planned, one year after signing the contract for the design and construction of the S12 Przysucha - Wieniawa expressway section, the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways - Łódź Branch submitted an application for a decision on the permit for the implementation of the road investment.
This is a 14.7 km long section of the expressway, which will run through the communes of Przysucha and Wieniawa (Przysucha County) and the commune of Wolanów (Radom County) in the Masovian Voivodeship.
This section of the route will ultimately connect the A1 motorway near Piotrków Trybunalski with the eastern border of the country at Dorohusk . It is one of two adjacent sections with a total length of over 29 km, from the border of the Łódź and Masovian Voivodeships towards Radom and Lublin.
The new route will significantly improve travel for residents of the Łódź region and southern Mazovia. It will take over transit traffic from the congested DK12, which runs through numerous villages and towns. Average daily traffic on this route between Piotrków Trybunalski and Radom ranges from nearly 10,000 vehicles per day in the Radom area to nearly 25,000 vehicles per day in the Piotrków Trybunalski area.

Numerous bridges, viaducts, crossings and culverts are planned along the route.The S12 expressway between Piotrków Trybunalski and Radom will have two carriageways , each with two lanes, 3.5 m wide, and a 2.5 m wide emergency lane.
The section between Przysucha and Wieniawa will feature two road junctions (Przysucha at the intersection with DW727 and Wieniawa at the junction with the current DK12), two service areas (Wieniawa North and South Rest Areas), a road maintenance area, numerous viaducts, bridges, and other engineering structures. Three large crossings and numerous culverts are planned along animal migration routes. Modern, safe infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists will be built in the immediate vicinity of the route.
The contractor has nine months to obtain a permit for the road project. The next 22 months are planned for construction, excluding the winter periods (from December 16 to March 15). The PLN 597.4 million investment is being implemented by the Mirbud Group.
