Bezos sold some Amazon stock. The total amount is huge

Amazon.com Inc. founder and major shareholder Jeff Bezos sold blocks of 3.3 million shares for a total of $736.7 million in several transactions at the end of June.
This is according to documents published by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The sale took place in accordance with the plan announced in March, which assumes the sale of up to 25 million shares by the end of May 2026.
Since 2022, Jeff Bezos has sold $44 billion worth of stock, with revenues of $5 billion in 2024. However, he still owns 905.4 million shares after this transaction.
In accordance with the adopted strategy, approximately USD 1 billion is allocated to continue work on the launch vehicle project, which will carry satellites into space.
Amazon is a company whose market capitalization recently exceeded $2.345 trillion. After a bit of a slump, the stock closed yesterday at $220.46.
In the first quarter, the company's revenues exceeded $155 billion, and net earnings per share amounted to over $16.
The Amazon founder was in the news last week for his three-day wedding to Lauren Sanchez. The event, held in Venice, cost more than $50 million, but it does n't seem to have caused a significant dent in Jeff Bezos' net worth.
