The Best Apple Deals to Grab Ahead of Memorial Day

How many of you actually shop at the Apple store? When was the last time you walked in and had someone check you out on those iPads for a new MacBook? Some of our editors only shop in-person at Apple. (It’s one of the last great in-person shopping experiences, they say.) The other camp only goes to Amazon, Best Buy, and Costco. The reason? Deals. In its own building, Apple is not just deal averse, but deal allergic. The best places to get good tech on a discount are secondary retailers. And with Memorial Day on the horizon, those retailers are cutting prices on some of the best products in Apple’s lineup.
Right now, Apple’s entry-level AirPods 4 are sitting at $99, the second-lowest price we’ve tracked this year. The wireless earbuds feature a comfortable open-ear fit, improved voice isolation for calls, and USB-C charging. They also pack Apple’s H2 chip, which means hands-free Siri, seamless device switching, and significantly better audio than the third-generation pair they replaced. Esquire commerce editor Luke Guillory called them out in his review for their “top-tier sound.” At under $100 on sale, they’re an easy recommendation, whether you’re upgrading from an older pair or buying in for the first time.
Meanwhile, the newer M5 MacBook Air, which was released just a few months ago, is currently $150 off. That’s a notable discount on a product category that’s been hit hard by the rising costs of RAM and NAND flash memory. The M5 chip is a meaningful jump from the M4, with a faster 10-core GPU and improved memory bandwidth that you’ll notice when editing photos and juggling dozens of browser tabs. Battery life remains absurdly good, allowing users to get up to 18 hours; however, in our experience, that estimate is actually conservative.
And the Apple Watch Series 11—loaded with new health sensors, including high-blood-pressure alerts and a sleep-apnea detector—is back down to its all-time low price. It’s the perfect wearable if you’re getting serious about your fitness goals this summer. The Series 11 is the first Apple Watch to offer hypertension notifications, which flags elevated blood pressure trends over time and nudges you to follow up with a doctor.
The deals ahead of the long weekend are good. But don’t sleep on them, because they never last for very long. We’ve also thrown in a few Beats picks. (In case you forgot, Beats has been part of the Apple family for over a decade now, which means you get some of the same under-the-hood tech, including one-tap pairing and Find My integration.) These are the current discounts that are genuinely worth it.
