Despite closures at NATO summit this morning, few traffic problems

Traffic is still moving well this morning, despite the various road closures due to the NATO summit, reports the ANWB Traffic Information. Around 07:40 there was a 180 kilometre traffic jam on the A and N roads.
The measures that have been taken are clearly visible on the A4. Rijkswaterstaat has placed a 6-kilometre steel barrier between the De Hoek and Burgerveen junctions to separate regular traffic from NATO traffic. Two lanes are no longer available as a result.

An ANP reporter also sees army trucks blocking on and off ramps, and sees police standing on a viaduct. Rest area Den Ruygen Hoek is closed in the direction of The Hague. In the area, traffic is also warned of the various measures via signs.
Not everyone is happy with the NATO summit, as this video shows:
Due to the NATO summit, several roads are partially or completely closed, such as the A4, the A5 and the A44. Rijkswaterstaat warns of many extra traffic jams and major delays in the coming days. There is a chance of 'very serious traffic disruption', especially on Monday afternoon and evening, Tuesday and Wednesday. The advice is to work from home, avoid the Randstad or take public transport.
The live streams that the road authority offers on its website along the A4 cannot be viewed this week. This is 'for safety reasons', according to Rijkswaterstaat.
