May Day Bridge, Italians Choose a Green Vacation

Italy probably has enough beauty and goodness for ten consecutive long weekends: for this reason, even the May Day, the last of spring after Easter and April 25, promises to be rich and “crowded”. The watchword: feeling good.
"At least 10 million holidaymakers, both Italian and foreign, will travel to Italy between April 30 and May 4, generating a turnover of over 4 billion euros." This was stated by the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè, commenting on the results of the surveys by Cna Turismo e Commercio and that of Coldiretti.
There is a boom in B&Bs and agritourisms, about 26 thousand structures ready to welcome about 600 thousand guests. Figures linked to gastronomic tourism, given that over a third of the budget is allocated to lunches and dinners.
But a fundamental piece of research is that, weather permitting, it reveals that the open air (from the sea to the mountains and lakes) and experiential choices will take the lion's share of this spring long weekend. Not to mention, finally, the cities of art (with visits to botanical gardens and bioparks in great demand), food and wine destinations and wellness centers (thermal baths, spas and so on) that are destined to attract numerous tourists.
