Lignano Sabbiadoro will host the 50th international edition of the FEW Wado Ryu Karate Championship.

Lignano Sabbiadoro is preparing to become the European capital of karate. It was announced yesterday that the beautiful Friulian town will host the 50th international edition of the FEW Wado Ryu Karate Championship, a major success for Master Bruno Vendramini, who brought the event to Italy.
The event is scheduled for October 12, 13, and 14, 2025, at the Bella Italia Sport Village. The organizers expect over 600 athletes to participate, with the ambitious goal of exceeding 1,000 participants, coaches, and companions, transforming Lignano into a vibrant hub for martial arts enthusiasts.
Supporting Master Vendramini are two prominent figures in the sports and organizational world: Giuliano Clinori, national director of CSEN, and Marco Cavalli, former athletes of the legendary Friuli Karate team from the 1980s and 1990s and now internationally renowned managers. Their in-depth knowledge of the world of martial arts events will be crucial to the event's success.
An event that will bring prestige to the region and will also represent a significant boost for the entire Wado Ryu karate movement, celebrating fifty years of history and passion.
