Arezzo, 30 April 2025 – All set for the first edition of Asprevie – Anghiari Gravel Roads

Everything is ready for the first edition of ASPREVIE – Anghiari Gravel Roads, a cycling event organized by Gs Fratres Dynamis Bike and reserved for gravel bikes and MTBs . The big event is scheduled for Sunday, May 4th in Anghiari, one of the Borghi belli d’Italia, located in the province of Arezzo, already known to many cyclists for L'Intrepida.

The wait is finally over and Asprevie is announced as an extraordinary adventure in the heart of the Apennines, immersed in the woods and centuries-old villages of the Tiber Valley. Each pedal stroke will be a discovery of breathtaking places, starting from Anghiari, the starting and finishing point of the ride. There will be two routes, both characterized by splendid landscapes and challenging roads. There will be refreshments and timed sections. Registration is still open, fun guaranteed!

Timed routes and sections

There are two routes: the “Medium Route” of 78 km with an elevation gain of 1500 mt+ and the “Long Route” of 120 km with an elevation gain of 2600 mt+. Each participant can choose the route that best suits their characteristics when registering. Those registered for the LONG route who pass km 70 (at “Castello di Sorci”) after 13:30 will be diverted to the medium route.

Fun, but also the desire to test yourself also from a competitive point of view on the most significant Asprevie because those who pedal on the long route will be able to try their hand at three timed climbs and push themselves to the max to prove themselves the best (or the best woman) on the relative stretch. Whoever records the lowest time (via widely used platforms, such as Strava) will win the relative jersey made in collaboration with Pissei. Here are the details:

GIGLIO BLU jersey for the best (men and women) on the FELCINO REVERSE climb (2370 meters at 10.2% gradient)

GIGLIO ORO jersey for the best (men and women) on the QUATTRO VIE climb (3400 meters at 9% gradient)

RED LILY jersey for the best (men and women) on the FOSSA climb (660 meters at 10.1% gradient)

Allowed bikes, refreshments, race packs and departure

Participation can take place with gravel bikes and MTBs, even pedal-assisted (E-Bike) on the “Medium Route”, as long as they comply with the Highway Code. Given the presence of dirt roads, even uneven, we strongly recommend using bikes with tires with a section of no less than 30 mm. There will be 4 refreshment points on the “Long Route”. Instead, the “Medium Route” includes 2 refreshment points. Numbers and pedal packs will be distributed on Saturday 3 May from 9:30 to 19:00 and on Sunday 4 before the single departure, scheduled for 8:00 from the square of the Palazzetto dello Sport in Anghiari, in via Fausto Coppi, near the locality La Stazione.
