According to updates from Gianluca Di Marzio , Al-Qadsiah will submit a formal offer to Atalanta for Retegui, who only joined La Dea last summer, on Thursday.

While an exact transfer fee has not been specified, it is believed that Retegui is valued internally in the region of €50m-€60m.

The wealthy Saudi outfit are turning to Retegui after seeing an approach for Kean fall through at the end of June.

The Fiorentina striker has a €52m release clause in his contract, which Al-Qadsiah had been prepared to pay, but the player himself decided against the move , despite rumors of a lucrative contract offer worth somewhere in the region of €15m-€20m per season.

Al-Qadsiah had also considered a move for free agent Jonathan David, who is now set to complete a medical with Juventus instead.
