For almost 40 years, many more boys have been born than girls. What does this mean?

Examining the Istat data , we observe that in Italy every year, without exception, many more males than females continue to be born, and we are talking about sex assigned at birth. In 25 years we have 370 thousand more boys than girls of the same age. The fact that we are considering the last quarter of a century is due to the fact that the Istat historical series reports data from 1999 to today.
We looked for data on the resident population that in 2025 was between 30 and 30 years old, and we noticed that starting from those born in 1982, males residing in Italy are more than women. For the age groups that today are from 43 years and up, there are many more women than men. In other words, among the residents in Italy in 2025 there are more men than women for all the years of birth from 1982 to 2024.
So we looked for the global data (World Bank), finding that things are currently like this in all the countries of the world. Is nature suggesting extinction? Or is it simply evidence of the fact that only heterosexuality is not "natural", with all due respect to those who would like to "re-educate" to "normality"?
Returning to the Italian data, with aging, mortality among men is higher than that of women; the latter live longer, some studies say for genetic reasons, others also underline the behavioral aspect, having historically had less risky lifestyle habits than their male peers.
This data opens up many considerations. It could be used for example by INCEL (involuntary celibate) thought to support the legitimacy of feelings of resentment towards women. It is a fact that an imbalance of this type can have consequences in terms of the possibility for heterosexual males to find a person with whom to build a sentimental relationship.
But above all it makes us reflect on the meaning that this trend could have for evolution and therefore for demography. China and India are two emblematic examples, China in particular because of discriminatory practices such as selective abortion and the preference for male children. The consequences are now emerging with force.
We continue to talk about the low birth rate in Italy, about the fact that we have few children, forgetting first of all that today there are fewer women of childbearing age than there were in the Sixties, the years of the economic boom. Since the mid-Seventies, fewer people have started to be born, both male and female. Added to this is the data we report here today, that from the Eighties onwards, fewer and fewer women have been born compared to men.
