Referendums to give oxygen back to democracy

The vote of June 8th and 9th
This vote allows us to bring a grain of sand to the very urgent cause of rebuilding the dignity of work.

We are going to referendums while the crisis of democracy in our country is completely evident. Referendums should be welcomed as an opportunity to counter this crisis and reactivate a circuit of democratic participation. Evidently there is a significant part of our ruling class that thinks it is better to govern without democracy. That is, not to govern: to command.
This explains the emergence of a widespread position that asks not to go to vote. The appeal not to vote even comes from representatives of democratic institutions. It is an incredible contradiction. But this also demonstrates even more the crisis of democracy and the distance between institutions, democracy and the people. Those who criticize referendums argue that referendums belong to another political season.
True: referendums come from the season of great politics. Afterwards there was only the decline and then the collapse of democracy. Overshadowed by other divinities: war, exploitation, inequality, the domination of technology and the market. This vote allows us to bring a grain of sand to the very urgent cause of rebuilding the dignity of work.
