Referendum: Agcom's warning to all broadcasters

The Agcom Council, in light of the monitoring data, has adopted a measure to remind Rai and all providers of audiovisual and radio media services operating at a national level, so that they guarantee adequate information coverage on the five topics of the referendums called for 8 and 9 June. The reminder - a note informs - "has the objective of offering citizens correct, impartial and complete information on the referendum questions and on the reasons supporting the voting options".
The broadcasters - recalls the note from Agcom - are required to implement the Authority's resolution no. 102/25/Cons and, as regards Rai, the provision of 2 April 2025 of the Parliamentary Commission for the general direction and supervision of radio and television services. "Both regulations, which contain the discipline of referendums - it is explained -, focus with particular attention on the need to ensure adequate treatment of the referendum issues, in order to guarantee complete, impartial and correct information on the questions".
