Informest: Zilli, strategic lever for growth and internationalization

“Informest is one of the most important strategic levers for promoting the development of Friuli Venezia Giulia and its companies in the internationalization processes towards Central-Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. Furthermore, its role within the control room of the PNRR and the support for Go!2025 place this body at the center of the growth paths of our territories”. This was stated by the regional councilor for Finance, Barbara Zilli, at the end of the ordinary assembly of Informest during which the 2024 financial statement was approved, expressing strong praise for the activity carried out during the previous year. Zilli noted with satisfaction the result of the balanced budget, achieved thanks to the targeted use of the endowment fund to cover operating costs not supported by project contributions.
“The 2024 financial year stands out as one of the best in recent years in terms of effective and sustainable use of the fund, with a value of 341,599 euros, lower than the 2023 figure and than what was estimated and authorized by the Members' Assembly with the approval of the 2024 Budget. This figure also appears to be the lowest in the last ten years of activity, a sign of solid governance consistent with strategic objectives”. Informest, the councilor recalled, has been a point of reference for the territorial system of the North East for years, not only for its ability to create cross-border relationships and operational partnerships, but also for the concrete role played in large strategic projects. "The body has provided a highly qualified contribution within the control room of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, strengthening the Region's ability to seize the opportunities linked to European funding. This is a valuable work - added Zilli - which combines expertise, international vision and operational capacity, strengthening the position of Friuli Venezia Giulia as a hub of economic and institutional relations".
Another front on which, for the executive representative, Informest has proven to be decisive, is that of the initiatives linked to GO! 2025. “The support provided – explained Zilli – has contributed to strengthening the international profile of the project, confirming the body as a technical subject of absolute importance with regard to the technical-administrative coordination of cross-border activities and the strengthening of institutional cooperation between Italy and Slovenia. Thanks to its consolidated experience in European programs and knowledge of local contexts, Informest acts as a facilitator between public bodies, cultural operators and project partners, helping to enhance the potential of the territory and to guarantee the effective implementation of the initiatives connected to the event”. “A heartfelt thanks therefore goes to the president Davide Lepori, the director Graziano Lorenzon and all the staff of Informest – concluded Zilli – for the concrete contribution that they continue to offer to the Region and its economic fabric, with a view to shared growth, innovation and international openness”.
