A Forza Italia delegation stops in Trapani to discuss the healthcare reform plan.

A morning of discussions on the future of healthcare. A Forza Italia delegation stopped at the Sant'Antonio Abate Hospital in Trapani to meet with the leaders of the Provincial Health Authority and engage in dialogue with doctors and nurses. The occasion also served to present the new Healthcare Plan developed by Forza Italia, conceived as a comprehensive reform of the National Health Service. The initiative was attended by Senate group leader Maurizio Gasparri, Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies Giorgio Mulè, Group Leader in the Sicilian Regional Assembly Stefano Pellegrino, and Provincial Secretary Tony Scilla.
Gasparri emphasized the commitment of the movement led by Antonio Tajani: "At the initiative of our secretary," he explained, "a plan has been prepared that we intend to bring to the center-right's table in preparation for the next stability law. The Meloni government has already invested heavily in healthcare, but further efforts are needed: more beds, more doctors, more nurses. We are presenting these proposals throughout Italy and gathering further contributions from the local community. For us, healthcare remains an absolute priority."
The document, entitled Forza Italia per la Salute (Force Italy for Health), focuses on new hires, reducing waiting lists, strengthening emergency rooms, and increasing integration between hospitals and the community. Special attention is given to chronically ill patients and the most common conditions, such as diabetes and endometriosis, as well as the elderly and vulnerable. Giorgio Mulè instead drew attention to the issue of histological tests that has rocked the Trapani Health Authority in recent months: "From an administrative standpoint," he noted, "today Dr. Pulvirenti is in charge and has taken responsibility for addressing the critical issues that emerged during regional and national inspections. From a medical standpoint, there are still hundreds of cancer patients undergoing treatment necessitated by delays in reporting. Our thoughts are with them. The political system has done everything it could, and I am confident that the measures already underway have helped us overcome that very delicate phase."
Forza Italia's plan also includes prevention, with the Cresco in Salute project dedicated to adolescents, and the guarantee of faster access to innovative drugs, with uniform timeframes across the country. Another area is the safety of healthcare workers, often victims of violence, with measures ranging from strengthened facilities to legal and psychological protection.
