Webuild wins $337 million contract in the US

Lane, Webuild’s American subsidiary, has been awarded a new contract worth $337 million (approximately €288 million) for the design and construction of widening and modernization works along Interstate 85 (I-85) in Gaston County, North Carolina, United States.
The award strengthens the Webuild Group's role in the construction of complex infrastructure in North America, its second-largest foreign market in terms of revenue.
The new project, commissioned by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, will involve approximately 16 kilometers of Interstate 85 (I-85). Once completed, the work will ensure safer and more efficient connections for the benefit of the entire region. The work, scheduled for completion by 2029, will be carried out without traffic interruptions and will minimize disruptions along the entire highway corridor. The Webuild Group has a longstanding presence in the United States.
Currently, with Lane, Webuild is carrying out major infrastructure projects across the country, such as the twin Palisades tunnels to enhance rail connections in New York, the modernization of a section of I-64 in Virginia, and the widening of the Seminole Expressway/SR 417 in Florida.
