US Justice: 'Argentina YPF must sell 51% of shares'

The US justice system has ordered from Argentine oil and gas company YPF to sell 51% of the share package to the Burford funds and Eton Park beneficiaries of $16 billion claim against the nationalization of the company which took place in 2012. It is as can be read in a sentence by Judge Loretta Preska of the Southern District Court of New York. The sentence states that the request of the plaintiffs to "transfer the shares to a deposit account globally at the Bank of New York Mellon (“BNYM”) in New York within 14 days from the date of this order." The judge Preska also specifies that he has instructed BNYM to "initiate the Transfer of the Republic's ownership shares Argentina to the plaintiffs within one business day from the date of deposit of shares into the account". Argentina's YPF had recently signed a memorandum of agreement with the Italian Eni to produce and export 12 million of tons of liquefied natural gas from the field Patagonian of Vaca Muerte.
