Agreement reached with the new CEO Filosa, demonstrating how it is possible to renew contracts even in times of difficulty for companies. A message explicitly directed to Federmeccanica

In the vicinity of the metalworkers' contract, a new element arrives that can help unblock the dispute that has been at a standstill for over a year. The unions Fim, Uilm, Fismic, Uglm and Associazione Quadri (Fiom is not participating in this roundtable) have reached an agreement with Stellantis , signing the renewal of the two-year economic period of the Ccsl (the "specific contract" dating back to the Sergio Marchionne era). The agreement concerns 60 thousand employees and follows the 2023 renewal with which the regulatory part was defined for four years and the economic part for two. Now the latter has also been updated. The agreement with Stellantis comes after a long period of controversy between the unions and the group headed by John Elkann; and it is no coincidence that this sort of pax, after six months of negotiations, was signed in parallel with the arrival of the new CEO of Stellantis Antonio Filosa . Having replaced the unloved Carlos Tavares, whose strong-arm tactics had caused serious rifts with Fim, Fiom and Uilm, Filosa was welcomed with hope by the unions, who saw in him the start of a new season of industrial relations.

A trust confirmed by the signing of the Ccsl, which provides for a salary increase of 6.6 percent, equal to 134.96 euros for Stellantis, and 139.80 euros for Iveco, Cnhi and Ferrari, to which are added 480 euros of a one-off payment. The increase of 6.6 percent will also increase the calculation basis of performance bonuses . Significant figures, especially if compared to the automotive sector, one of the sectors most affected by the crisis. And it is precisely to this element that the unions refer, underlining that the agreement with Stellantis demonstrates how it is possible to renew contracts even in moments of difficulty for companies. The message is explicitly directed at Federmeccanica which, despite the third eight-hour strike already called for June 20, has not yet given any sign of wanting to resume negotiations for the contract. The hope is that the "good example" of Stellantis will also move something in those parts.
