Trump, we're working on agreements, starting August 1st we'll pay duties

The Trump administration is working on five or six trade agreements and could announce two or three before August 1st, when the reciprocal tariff payments announced in a letter from the US president will be due. Trump himself stated this, according to Bloomberg.
Regarding the tariff negotiations, "we have until August 1st, we need to negotiate: positions are not yet very close, but we must continue the dialogue because a tariff war is not in our best interests; it is not in the best interests of the Americans, because Europe needs the United States, but the United States also needs Europe." This was stated by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, speaking to journalists in Washington.
